Hi All..
I have taken out a hard drive out of a Computer. It wasn't working. I connected it to my laptop via usb using an easy ide cable. It boots and i can see the Windows folder but nothing else. How can i access the my documents folder as there is files i want to save...
Cheers..

If you cant see anything other than the windows folder, taking ownership of it wont help anything.

Use a file recovery tool maybe to see if it can grab more files/folders?

If it wasnt working, and you only see that one folder, I will put my money on it crashing and you wont be able to grab anything else off of it.

Thanks guys for the help...Reformatted the Drive...
When i was loading windows i kept getting errors when copying the system files "setup cannot copy file ks.sys" then "the file tourP.exe was not copied correctly" and same for mf.sys file, fsvga.sys file and so on . I finally changed the ram and then it loaded. The Ram that was in it memory speed was 266 and that Ram that i inputted to it is saying and ddr is now 400. Will this cause a problem. If i leave the Computer for a while and come back to it nothing works - it freezes. I was just wondering if the RAM was causing this problem.....
Cant see any prob in the system event viewer..

I did have similar problems before.
And reducing memory speed solved it.
Memory incompatibility can cause things you experienced.
Freezing however is usually the result of overheating or harddisk problems.
