Hi,

A new client of mine is moving their growing small business into a new address and I am providing a straight forward cabling & internet-sharing service. Prior to my involvement they also purchased from eBay an Avaya IP DS 406v2 with 6 digital handsets. I understand this is an old device now ?

From a previous job (some years back) I became comfortable with administrating the IP Office device for new users, DDI routing, hunt groups etc However that (previous) system was installed by someone else. I am not too clear on what feature(s) I need to specify from the telecom provider here in Cyprus and also what configuration will be required.

The device has no trunks card but I understand to provide 6 concurrent calls I need to obtain '700417413 : IPO/B5800 IP500 TRNK BRI 4 UNI' and from the local telecoms company I should order '3 x BRI/ISDN2e/BRA'.

In terms of usage I would like it to be possible for 6 concurrent inbound calls to be made to the same number, what service would I request from the telecoms company ? And also to give each extension a DDI? The 'main' number will ring a huntgroup, the DDI's extension only.

Any help/pointers/guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Dutch, You need to call and speak to a Vendor before you buy anything more from ebay. You've quoted an IP500 BRI card but you have an IP400 system. It's not compatible.

The local official Avaya vendor has quoted me the '700417413 : IPO/B5800 IP500 TRNK BRI 4 UNI' after i sent him the config from the device.

You want this:

I wouldnt mind a few days in Cyprus to install it :-)

Can you tell me about what the (missing) 'embedded' voicemail card, what 'SKU' is it so i can try to acquire one ?
