Get sound no picture

Hi all,

Got this problem with Quicktime where i get sound but no picture...

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, restoring defaults but still no joy..

I'm using windows XP and have cleared all temp and compressed files but again no change..

Does anyone have any idea..

Does it work with other files? You haven't stated that it only does it with all files or only one file.

It sounds like a CODEC is not correctly installed, and probabyl have ta do with your installation/reinstalling.

There is a way to do a "clean" uninstall that should get rid of all QT associated files, but I dont remember off the bat.

Try, uninstalling, restarting the comp, then install the program.

Also download the most current version from Apple's website.

I have the same problem, my player will play for a few seconds then stop when the video has loaded completely. After that anything I try to play will not work its just sound over the last frame of the first video. Help! I tried what was suggested to walnut but it didn't help
