How can I go about setting up a general mailbox which multiple outlook users can access. Three people in our office retrieve orders from our customers and whoever gets the email and handles the order first I would like a return receipt sent to the customer so they know which one of the three picked it up and its being worked on. Thanks for the advice.

I think u can create 3 different profiles in outlook and make a common pst file with the permission for all of them. Who so ever login will sent the messages using his own email address but the mails of all 3 of them will be at one place.

Thanks for your response Psingh, these three people will be using different computers accessing their own outlook email accounts but also accessing one common mailbox which they all can check, so the notion is, if Bob is out of the office, Sally can still check the common mailbox and respond to the customer. How would the pst file work for me in my case, please provide details I'm not very familiar with outlook and exchange. Thanks.

Create the general mailbox in exchange as usual, add the 3 staff members into the exchange configurers group. Visit their machines and edit their Exchange server profile, select the advanced tab and add the new mailbox to be viewed. Start outlook and the should see their own email plus the general one. Remove the user from exchange configurers.

If it doesn't leak oil it must be empty!!

You can do like this.

1) One mailbox for each user, as usual.

2) One mailbox for all of them. Create a seprate profile for this on to those machines who has to use this and point those profiles to store the mails in a pst(Personal Folder) file somewhere in the network location.
