G3 v11 Avaya system/ on-hook dailing turn on

I just turn on the on-hook feature on my PBX, but I notice that it works with all the lastest model phone but with the old model phones such as (7406)it doesn't work. Can someone tell why? or how I might get it work?

From the looks of the bottom of your post, it would seem like that feature may not be supported on any 4 wire circuit type phones. The ones that you listed

look to be all 2 wire packs/sets.

The 8400 sets can be used with 4 wire boards. I tried to add a 7406+ to my system (CM 2.1.1) and a speaker phone option does not come up. I suspect you'd need at least a 1-way speaker phone do to on-hook dialing. Does the speaker on you 7406 work otherwise?

your are right. The new phones have 2-way speakers as a station option.
