I have a windows 2000 Adv server web farm using NLB. I have 2 network cards. 1 for the heartbeat etc and one for the backend.
I am trying to ftp to a remote unix box over a router.
Tracert works fine and shows me that the route taken is via a default gateway then to the router and then it finally arrives at the unix box....If i go to a command prompt and FTP <Server IP address> it will work intermittently...We have had comms guys in and when it hangs it has not even tried to reach the router....I dont know why it seems to timeout....I have removed and re-installed ftp from the cd....Ping works fine everytime to the remote ip address....
The local (non/cluster card) is the card with the default gateway to the router.
Any ideas why it hangs...
Regards
Martyn
