Hi,

I seem unable to get an FTP account to work no matter what I do.

I have created a special group, put a particular user in it, given the folder access to the group, set up the FTP account, but FileZilla just errors with
530 User cannot log in, home directory inaccessible.

I have even added the user to the administrators group just to force access but still it errors?

If I use my admin username and password to FTP to this site it works, but I cannot get a new user account to access this FTP site?

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

I followed this :
Which has resolved connecting.

I still seem unable to force user isolation, If I choose...

-> Do not isolate users. Start user in : User name directory

This works and FileZilla shows the folder, but it allows users to go up a level to the root, which I don't want.

However, if I choose...

-> Isolate users. : User name physical directory (enable virtual directories)
or
-> Isolate users : User name directory (disable virtual directories)

I get the 530 error?

How do I ensure the user can only see their OWN folder?
