I thought it was possible to forward or send all calls to a VDN number? I am having the hardest time figuring this out. Your input is appreciated!

You can have a VDN as a point in a coverage path (Point1 = v1234). Make sure the "V" is lowercase.

I would like for them to hit a FAC button to activate this when they go home. Any idea?

We use a "SEND-CALLS" button; that way they have a light to remind them that their calls are forwarded.

thats what I thought i used in the past. But i get a error message that it can't use a VDN number. Here is the message:

"2648" Extension assigned to an object other than a station

Leave the "Extension" field blank on your send calls button (blank applies to the station you have created the button for). Send-Calls will then forward calls to the stations coverage path, which you've already created with a VDN number as a coverage point.

Susan, question, is it possible to make a all phones in a hunt group ring at the same time. I know this defeats the purpose of a hunt group. Let me know.

Use a coverage answer group not a hunt group for up to 8 phones to ring at once.

using the coverage answer group feature, how can i create a night service destination for all the phones in a group. I can do it easily with a hunt group, but i am having a hard time figuring out with a coverage answer group.

you could make it part of a coverage path and have it cover to the coverage answer group then your voice mail hunt group.

where would i insert the night service coverage point? Here is my setup currently in the system.

The caller calls the main extension: XPORT - 1111
The coverage point for extension 1111 will ring phones (2222&3333)in the cover answer group 5 times then it will go to the next point which is voicemail.

Isn't the voicemail point the dead end for ext.1111?

If you want the coverage to move differently between night and day, then use a coverage time of day.

This way:

The caller calls the main extension: XPORT - 1111
coverage time of day X. day=cov path A night=cov path B

You will need to define you day and night hours.

You would probably want to use a coverage-answer-group. I think you can do 8 phones this way.
