Hope I can make sense of this....
Here is the setup. Customer has MICS 6.0 with 12 with T-1, E&M,wink start. Calls come in and are answered by AA. Press 1 in the AA sends the call to ext 300-307 on the ASM. Calls ring a computer with Dialogic cards. This is to a continuous play PC that the blind can listen to the daily newspaper. When the caller hangs up the port is supposed to disconnect but it currently just hangs... We pulled a Vodavi out because of other problems but it worked just fine.... The engineer says we need forward disconnect. I am assuming that is not the same as disconnect supervision. Any suggestions or is info needed.... by the way, the voicemail is a call pilot 150 3.0.

The ASM has no ds .How about using trunks off of the asm back feeding to the recordings?"as in asm suppling dt to open trunks on system

I am almost onboard with you Lugerlover but I am missing something in my thinking.... So, A) call comes into T-1 as DID # 2005, I still send that call to Analog station 300 and make it ring. B) Have the ringing connected to a LS/DS trunk card as a POTS line. C) What do I connect to the Dialogic cards, there are 8 dialogic ports. If you could "draw" me a diagram of this. Thank you very much....

It should get freed on either/first party disconnect
CO -> T1 -> Norstar -> station

Eliminate the dialogic board and test with an analog telephone. You should get a disconnect tone when the outside caller hangs up

If that works, The dialogic board's tone detector needs to be 'trained' to identify the tone
