i've got to dispose (return to owner) several pc's with nt installed. reason for question is they don't want any third party software installed so the quickest way to remove is format. Question is how to do it when pc is disconnected from network and only have 98 boot disk?

thanks in advance,

andy

Boot the system from the 98 bootdisk, load FDISK and delete all partitions, then save settings when you exit fdisk.
This will stop 99.9% of the population ever getting to the data, but you might like to run a secure data eraser program (several available free on the internet) that wipes drives to military standards if it had sensitive information on.
