I have a MICS with 6.1 software, DS Card, T1 card, and 6 port Combo. I hooked the flash talk up to several different extensions, but when I do feature 903 or 9*3 or any nine function I get inactive. I have reset the MICS with start up, reset the Flash by doing **xftest and removing codes. All codes show free. Every time I hit the next button the Flash tells me error. I checked the MICS maint. and it recognized the extension as Star Talk. Do not know where to go from here. Plug db9 into Flash and all test ok.

Any ideas? I think flash is 2.0

Every time I hit the next button the Flash tells me error
---- In what feature are you using the next button to get the error?

After F**XFTEST, use the config password, and scroll through the feature codes and see if F903 has been moved to another range.

When you do the XFTEST, do you get any errors?

When logged into the flash by serial port, do you get as far as being able to run reports and list mailboxes? If so, what box numbers do you see? Are there remnants in the Flash of a prior programming (that will tell us if a reinstall process has been successful or not)?

I cannot scroll after xftest...error out...have to xftest again. On flash connect just see all oks...do not know how to run reports really or list mailboxes...

During start-up, do you see (via the serial port) something like this (can you cut and paste your actual output)?

When your tests are done, and you hit the <ENTER> key a few times, do you get any prompts?

I will need to double check, but I believe a MICS 6.1 will need at least a Flash 2.0.x software cartridge from a comparability standpoint. It would also explain why the ksu can see the VM but not fully boot the software.

I will pull my charts Friday and see if a MICS 6.1 can work with 1.7 Startalk software.

You are correct. looked at compat chart. 6.1 requires 2.0..tks
