If it is an Excel 2000 (WIN) or Excel 98 (Mac);
you can either drag the worksheet onto the FMPro icon or open it directly in FM.
The first row of the spreadsheet can be treated as column headings or data. If they are headings, they can be converted to FM fields names. Field types are automatically assigned, based on the spreadsheet contents.
When the converted file is opened in FM, two layouts are created for the spreadsheet data.
Layout #1 is a standard layout in which each former spreadsheet row is a record. Layout #2, the entire data set is displayed in table view.
