Faxes not going through

We are having an issue at night faxing documents to a hospital in Tampa. The faxes are going through but somewhere between here and there, chunks of the documents are missing. I tested the line - had dial tone and could not see any problems. We had the tech for the fax machine come in and he said all three fax machines in question are working fine. The hospital in Tampa says that they are receiving faxes from other companies with no problem. Sometimes, an error of "poor line condition" is on the transmission verification report. Is there anything that I can do to test the pair to rule out inside wiring issues? Any ideas as to what would be causing this to happen?

Are the trunks and the faxes in the same port network?

Try Cha ip-codec
pg 2 set modem to relay
and fax to pass-through

Forgot we were specifically talking a Definity here. In my case, I seemed to get the best results setting modem to pass-through and fax to relay. There's quite a bit of previous discussion here: thread690-1476858
