I have a win2000 pro machine with a FAT32 drive format, now I dont want to reinstall windows nor do i want to have to wipe my drive, but I do want to change it 2 NTFS format, any ideas how? or of a program I can download to do this with?

thanks simon

Easy. First close any applications that are running.

Next, go to Start > Run and type:

convert drive_letter: /fs:ntfs

If it is C:, then you would type:

format c: /fs:NTFS

Follow the prompts and the system should reboot an do finish the conversion.

Good Luck,

Adam

Sorry... a typo

format c: /fs:NTFS should read:

convert c: /fs:ntfs

In the commandprompt you may type "help convert" (without the quotes) for instructions.
