is it possible to make internal drive to external drive ? i want to buy a mobile DVD writer. but external(through USB) DVD writer's cost is much higherer than the internal DVD writer . more than double price. i saw at some place there are aluminium casing avaible by which u can make the internal drive to external and the casing has a USB connector to plug to the PC.
how is that ? is that good ? anybody use it ? are you satisfied ?

Yes i am using it, there is no problem and its not so expensive also.

hi,

if i use this do i need to do any bios settings for this , any kind of OS settings ?

or it would be just like other removable plug and play type device like pen drive ?

No configuration required, its plug and play, at least in Windows XP, i have never tested it on legacy OS's.
