I have an executive asssitant who has a 2616 phone with her bosses two lines appearing on her phone. When she takes a call for her boss on her phone and puts the call on hold for him to pick up, her boss can't pick up the line. The assistant has to transfer the line back to her boss as if the call is not on his line in the first place. The appearances are programmed as SCR and both phones are in the same RNPG. I have other phones programmed in the same way without having this problem.

Could this be a CLS setting?? Can anyone offer insight?

Try changing cls POD to POA on both sets, and let us know. Privacy overide Allowed (POA) or Denied (POD)

I will try changing the POD to POA and see if that does the trick. Will let you know how that goes.

Thank you.

POA (Privacy Overide Allowed) changes the default restriction on the phone that prevents you from accessing a MADN (Multiple Appearance Directory Number) that is active on another set. In other words if he is on the phone she can press the active key and hear his conversation (if the CLS is POA). You may want to start running traffic to see if one of your super loops has too many busy phones programmed on it. It's a bit more involved but you usually learn something when you have to dig deeper.

Don't think it's worth the effort? The more you know the more you are worth. Most guys who dig for the knowledge eventually get paid more. I'd be willing to be that Ace and John are getting paid well for the knowledge they have gained by digging through the books and learning when they encounter trouble. Although they'll probably deny it because once you get there it doesn't SEEM like much ;)

NTOldTimer,EddieDuece,

Thank you for the direction here. I have made the POA adjustment and I am waiting to hear back from the Exec Asst. Will let you know if that does the trick.
Thank you again.
