Hello all,

I have an expansion Intf card showing major alarms but it hasn't registered on the alarm screen and if I list configuration for that board it shows as "no board"...
There doesn't seem to be any affect whatsoever to the service.....anyone any ideas?

Hi Candyman,

Is this a duplicated system? Is it High or Critical reliability? If it's showing alarms on the standby SPE they will not show on "display alarms" but if you have a look at "status health" and "status PNC" these will show the alarms.

Hope this helps,

Chris

Sounds like you still have a software link, the board will handle 4, assigned in software to this board. Use the command "disp comm processor". Look for any entry that has a type listed as x.25. The x.25 links are the ones used by this board type. There are several places to go and look for links but this is a good place to start. You can also try "status link 1", "status link 2" etc also. Hope this helps

Thanks

Chris

hi Armo2 and Clausen,

Thanks for your input guys,I will take this onboard for future reference. In the end the board had failed.
simple as that, replaced it and all is ok.
