I built a spreadsheet with a couple of macros and sent the file to a friend. Every time they open it a message appears asking whether to enable or disable the macros. They will always enable. Is their any way to have the message not show up??

Under Tools > Options, they can turn off macro protection. I would not recommend this, for it can prevent harmful code from running.

dsi,
In Excel, I went into Tools-Option and was unable to find it. Which tab is it under??

General tab, Macro virus protection. But I'd second dsi's comment: don't turn it off!

I have Excel 2000 and my General Tab doesn't have that, but I'll listen to both of you and leave it alone.

Thanks

Sopman,

If you change your mind, you can alter these settings in Office 2000 by selecting Tools / Macros / Security...

Just to be clear, it is the end user who would have to change these settings.
