Hello. Thank you in advance for your help!

Is there a way to paste a paragraph of information (i.e., contact info. Name, Address, Phone, etc.) copied off of a web page, into Excel, without all of the info going into only one cell? The paragraph of info is laid out like you would expect-

Joe Somebody
123 Easy Street
Anytown
New York
USA
123-456-7890

Can Excel somehow recognize each different line within each tab-delimited "paragraph"?

Thank you,
MisterHandyman

Paste it into a Text file first then import it into Excel.
That should work.

Hi,

Try Edit/Paste Special and select Text Skip,
Skip@theofficeexperts.com

Actually, the only way I could get ALL the text to go into ONE CELL was to EDIT the cell while pasting.

An ordinary Paste OR Saste Special BOTH paste into separate cells. Skip,
Skip@theofficeexperts.com

Thanks Guys!
The Edit/Paste Special worked.
One more thing tho, the clunky Excel user that I am wants to know. How do I get the info to paste across the header cells horizontally, instead of vertically like it is? It will make my final importing into ACT! a lot easier.

Thanks again.

dunno if you can do this OUTSIDE excel but once into excel, you can use
Edit>Pastespecial>Values and tick TRANSPOSE Rgds

You can go to format Cells then click the Alignment tab and change it there. or you may have to just resize your columns. If none of that works try clicking the Wrap text button on the Alignment tab.
