Hello,

We have an old computer with all the configuration to connect to the HiPath 4000 Assistant V4 Web, but a weeks ago Java was updated from 1.6 to 1.7, and then it broke.

Now, I'm trying to connect from a new computer, and I can access only first time, when I close the navigator (even after the installation of AppletCache) when I try to reconnect, after login I always have this message

Code:
Security exception: Bad applet class name

and nothing more.

If I want to access, every time I have to uninstall the Appletcache and install it again, and I can access and work until I close the navigator.

I use java 1.6.45, with explorer 8 compatibilty mode with 7, certs are in the cacerts file and in the navigator, and the browser configuration is the same than in the wizard.

Any idea?

Thanks.

Sorry, but I don't explain myself very well, after login I see the menu, but when I click on any option as stations, I have the error messagge instead of the download of the jars and the correct connection.

Can you go back to the default page of 192.0.2.5 and go through the 'client preperation'
Once that is complete then log on and see how you are doing

Sorry but I don't understand, the only time that it works is the first time that I install the Appletcache from Client Preparation. If I close the navigator, I have to uninstall and reinstall the Appletcache.

If I access from the direct https url or from the Client Preparation logon button doesn't make difference, it only works from a fresh installation of Appletcache from the Client Preparation.

Thanks and I will be back on monday :).

Sorry again, I don't know if I'm not explain myself or I don't undestand you.

Code:
Once that is complete then log on and see how you are doing

Doing what? I do the login and in the menu click on the station options, then it crashes (if .

Code:
go to the [URL unfurl="true"]http://192.0.2.5[/URL]
click on 'client preparation'

This are the steps that I follow.

1. Uninstall the Appletcache from 'client preparation' in http://172.x.x.5
2. Install Appletcache from 'client preparation', certs are well installed and the wizard confirms it, then I don't reinstall certs.
3. After the installation, it askes me to reboot the navigator, but I don't because step 8
4. Click on logon button
5. Click on stations option
6. The program downloads/check a few of jars
7. The correct screen appears and I can work without problems.
8. I close the navigator
9. I go to the 'client preparation' in http://172.x.x.5, and next untill the final screen.
9. Click on logon button
10. Click on stations option
11. It crashes, and I have the bad applet error.

If I want to work in the stations screen, I have to restart from step 1.

Thanks and sorry for my english.

sorry if I am not clear.

Uninstall Java and restart your PC
go to the client preparation at your address
go through ALL of the client preparation making sure your java version and browser is compatible
when you are finished client preparation Close The Browser

Start the browser again and go to login as normal and test
