Dear Team,

I have some issue with Assistant and I want to re-install the Assistant.
My Question is as follows.

1: Do I need to backup any think from system before I reinstall assistant,
2: If I re-install the Assistant will I loss any data or License.

I have another question ,
Do I have to install Hotfix on both server ???

You don't need to reinstall the HF, it will do it itself after Assistant reinstall. You should be able to see it on the Assistant filesystem in /var/hf. Also on the platform in /var/opt/Assistant/data/BACKUP/Assistant_instpart/hf.

You should really take a backup before reinstalling the Assistant. You don't say why you are reinstalling, so maybe you backup some corruption. But if you create a logical export backup you can choose what to restore.

Although the telephony will be unaffected by Assistant reinstall, there may be some data on the Assistant you wish to keep. For example, users and logins, if the customer does not use default login names. Also, under CM/Personal Data, it's possible to store company information, name, room numbers, locations, some OS4K users enter data there. That will be lost on reinstall unless you have a backup. They probably don't use it. But if you have a backup you don't need to worry about it.

I have try to install the Hotfix and com up with error , Package is not valid for this system.

Is there any way I can make that clearer for you?

You can see in the screenshot, your system is already Assistant V8 R1.19.7. HF7 is already applied. Yet still you try to apply it.

Also, you are trying to copy the zip file, but in his post, Eldar already told you to open the zip and take the tar file.

Yes you are right. I was not looking that current version and the one i was trying is the same version.
