Can someone tell me how I can tell if the irad on a MICS and on a CICS are enabled? If not alreay enabled, how would I enable it? Don't these automatically come with a RAD? How would I connect to it while on site or off site? What software would I need to load on laptop/pc to connect?

Thanks

There is no IRAD on an MICS you need an external unit.
IRAD on a CICS is there in the software, and if not enabled alows you access for admin only. You can set it up under IRAD and then test by phoning the customer and having them dial F817. If working the IRAD will ping and scream in your ear.
For both RADs you need Norstar Remote Utilities to use the info from the modems. You should buy this from your vendor. This software is good and greatly assists system administrators and Techs alike.
Hope this is what you were looking for.

Arr, is correct.
One extra little piece of info. for you: The IRAD on the CICS, even without being activated will still be heard, and will answer up when you do the F817, but will only allow you to look at the system ID so that you can then insert the key-codes remotely to activate it.
On a MICS, do a Feature 9 ** to see if there is a RAD connected.
On systems with older RADS, do a Feature 9** 723646.
