On IP office 8.1 [69]

I am getting an alarm that states: Voicemail storage. Current state: Storage Full

I believe this was somehow caused by this call:

Extension 599 is not set up, and as far as I can tell shouldn't have voicemail.

How do I clear out storage space for new voicemails?
 
Every user on the system has a voicemailbox, used or not.
You can logon as user 599 and delete all messages for that user or attch a serial cable to the rear of the IP Office and the other end to your PC.
Then use a comms program likee hyperterminal or putty to connect to the IP Office, settings 38400,8,N,1.
Then type : ( case sensitive! )
at-debug
ivm-mbox-show 599 <-- shows datails of VM messages
ivm-mbox-clear 599 <-- delet all messages of this user
 
I'm a little confused about loging in as 599 because that user doesn't exist in manager. When I try to access the extension through the voicemail access shortcode I just get a login incorrect with whatever password I try. Is there a default?
 
No but it may be a bug or something and the mailbox could come from a DDI number.
If it happens again then recreate the SD card ( read manuals!), that may solve this kind of issues.
 
Well, I ended up doing a SD card re-format under advisement from the contractor who did our install. It fixed the issue, but all of the auto attendants and voicemail greetings needed to be re-recorded.
