Is there a special cable and is it marked on the package when doing a S8720 CM5.0 install usign DAL? DOing an install adn thought I remember the packaging reference duplication cable but don't perform install often so my memory fails me.

Also trying to log in via ASA on CM5.0 adn getting no port available. I can gain access via web but not ASA. I have ensured that port 5023 was opened on the server access, rebooted, ...

If I use a terminal emulator I get access denied?

I already hate 5.0

I never had this many issue installing.

Dup link still failing, can't get into ASA with ASA.

I tried auto connect, manual, using GEDI I get the splash but the words are all over the place, tried changing termimal type ... no luck.


Is there a patch I should be installing for all this noise?

Any help is greatly appreciated

Is there anyway to get the IPSI serial number from loggin directly into the IPSI?

Maybe my issues are because I have no licenses loaded? If I can get the IPSI serial number I can get my licenses from my BP correct adn hope that helps me out?

I contact my BP but confused how am I suppose to get the IPSI serial if I can't configure? I don't remeber having this problem.

Is this a fresh install? I just installed CM5.1 on one of our clients using S8730 with no issues. Is this a critical reliability design? If it is software and hardware duplication is available on the package. I think you just misconfigured your pbx.

No configurations issues per business partner. High Reliability using Hardware Dup (DAL2)

Currently here are my issues:
When Server 1 is active Duplication fails but when Server 2 active no duplication issues

I loaded the license’s on the active server, save trans and missing all maintenance commands for busy, set, release, reset … Rebooted both server multiple times for cold restart in an attempt for a restart since missing commands and still no maintenance commands.

Both IPSI configured for 100 Full, no DHCP and verified IPs configuration multiple times however IPSI in 1B is busy. IPSI in 1A is fine

Verified licenses have been loaded adn reflected on both Servers.

You're having a NTP issue? Can you ping the server? Is there a computer on the same LAN interface you could validate with "net time" ?

Not happy. Making assumptions and decided ahhh what the hell let me check MSP surely they have those enabled NOPE so there are the rest of my command issues.

No just need to figure out why the one IPSI in B is not coming up and the dup issue when Server 1 is active.

Is everything configured correctly in the ipserver form? Type display system duplication. Are they set to yes?

Log into the shell. Type pingall -a do this from both servers. Verify that all endpoints are reachable.

Thanks to the good old BP I tried last night and due to the MSP don't have permission.

I can ping adn also the IPSI appear on both servers if querying and in the serial numbers which I also validated.

Anything else you can think of? Have you ever seen my weird duplication. Right now have server 2 active and life is great but if I go to interchange dup fails and gets messy

You really need access to the shell. Also the MSP feature would be really helpful. This is a simple file generation in RFA and shouldn't be at a cost to the BP. Did you check the system duplication? I've not seen much on CM5 but I've seen my share of duplication problems. It could be anything at this point. Ok log onto the web browser and use the ping from the web browser. Use the idividual IP addresses to log onto each server and carry out the ping from both servers. Have you loaded the patch onto the system for 5.0?

Have MSP now adn have the IPSI resolved. Now jsut down to when Server 1 is active duplication fails but when server 2 is active everything is good.

I don't have the patch and my BP still working on getting my SoldTo so I can get in SSO to obtain. You think the patch will fix the dup issue?

Busy and release server 1 (obviously making sure server 1 isn't the active). Then try a save trans. I'll have a look and the CM5 patch readme.
