Is there a special cable and is it marked on the package when doing a S8720 CM5.0 install usign DAL? DOing an install adn thought I remember the packaging reference duplication cable but don't perform install often so my memory fails me.

Nothing mentioned on the readme file. Are the servers configured as different servers on the configure server/set identities screen?

Thanks for helping me. Have SP3 installed. I have saved trans a few times and after SP3, forced interchanges, and also rebooted because I pulling my hair out why this isn't working. :(

Identies are unique adn 192.11.13.13 Server 1 and 192.11.13.14 using 255.255.255.252.

I'm going tocry like a big baby.

So the servers are set to 1 and 2 respectively on the configure server/set identities/ where is says This is server number x?

That's all the suggestions I have for now apart from something heavy and blunt to bludgen it with.

Yes sir my .11 (server's last octect) is Server 1 (ID1) and .12 is Server 2 (ID). When I log into each and manually configure it states this is server 1 and the other this is server 2 respectivley.

BP told me to reload server 1. That makes no sense to me. Anyone having this issue might want to try that but I'm not buying that answer right now. One way duplication so reload, ummmmm no.

This is so off the wall. Picking this back up tomorrow with a fresh mind but if anyone does reload that had this and works please let me know.

So I reconfigure all Eth interfaces and everything pinging successful but still no Dup.

I bit the bullet and re-intalled. Everything pinging ok again both ways using the Ping Utility and selecting "All IPSI's, UPS's, Other server(s), Ethernet switches
" from both servers but still:

Standby Refreshed? no
Standby Shadowing: off

Also if Server is Active does not talk to IPSI even though I can ping them. If i go to set I get "No MO ... on board" something or other

I'm at a loss.

Oh how I hate this screen! :(

DAL Lights

Server A
Trans Mode - On
Receive Mode - Off
Link Sync - On
Link Active - On

Server B
Trans Mode - On
Receive Mode - Off
Link Sync - On
Link Active - On

Trans Mode stays on even when fiber is unplugged.

Tried reseating many times

Makes no sense to me but I ended up stop/restart dup via CLI and then filesynch over 192.11.13.13 from .14 via CLI and everything fires up. I’m not convinced I still don’t have a suspect hardware but just got it to come up.
