Good Morning,
From what I understand in the past if you do a list meas Ds1 log you should get all zeroes if your board is heatlhy. What does it mean if you have some 4's in the ES column? To be honest I dont even know what these columns mean....
Hi Tina,
It means you'v got some slippage going on. The higher the numbers, the worse it can get. User may not notice bad lines if the numbers are that low, but I'd keep an eye on things, best to start testing or call it in. ES is errored seconds in a 15 min period, and BES is bursty errored seconds. You'v proberly got some minor alarms going off. See if you can clear them down.
Thanks, I don't have anything in SES all zeroes just ES. Right now I'm in battle with our local carrier over static and screeching noise on my CO. Could the slippage be caused by outside interferrance? Avaya says I'm clear on their end and both are pointing fingers at one another. I figured the 4 had something to do with this.
It can be caused by a bad card or cable at either end. Do you have just the one DS1 ?
This finger pointing happens in the UK as well sad to say.
Can Ayava take control over this issue and call the carrier direct ?
I have 2 Ds1 cards the other looks good, all zeroes. I don't have any alarms (of course) which makes me lean towards the outside. Avaya and the carrier have met out here and noise was heard on their side (carrier) of the dmarc but they are still insisting it's in my system somewhere. Of course it's intermittant and very loud almost sounds like an old dot matrix printer screeching along the lines LOL. I have not added any cards or really changed anything in the 3 weeks since this started. This is one of the most fun parts of our job I believe.
Thanks
