I have a dexktop and laptop running win2k Pro. I would like to syncronize particular directories so that updates from each drive would be reflected on the other. I looked into the synchronize function and it appears to not be exactly what I want. Does anybody have any ideas. Also, I would like to schedule this to occur during the early morning hours(4:00 AM) while the laptop is connected via lan to the desktop.

Can you make a batch file that will transfer the files out of one folder into the folder you want to keep updated? If so you can put that batch file in "Scheduled Tasks" (in the control panel) and tell it to run every morning at 4:00am.
