Trying to open a report and and thinks for about 2 minutes then a pop-up comes up 'DOS Error' I click OK and it shuts Crystal down. Any idesa, fixes?? This report has been running daily for awhile, no-one else has this report open, and no other problem is linked to the report.

All help is greatly appreciated!!

What are you using to open the report, Crystal or a 3rd party viewer?

If Crystal, did you try to simply reinstall?

Cheers,
- Ido

CUT, Visual CUT, and DataLink Viewer:
view, e-mail, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.

I'm using Crystal to try and open it. I haven't tried to reinstall Crystal because I can open other reports. This problem seems to be with one report only (and it figures to be a daily report!)

I'm having this problem too!
When I try to open one particular Crystal Report it comes up with:

"An unknown error has occurred while accessing c:\<PATH>\rptMyReport.rpt"
Then
"Dos error."

I recently removed and re-installed Crystal Reports 9, so I think Crystal is OK. I can open all other reports. Can anyone please help?

Eddie.

can you open the report using any another PC running crystal reports ?

If other reports open OK I would guess it's a problem with the report, do you have a backup of the report you could restore ?

has the underlying database been changed ? can you open or create any othre reports using this same database connection.

Many thanks for your reply Gary.

I have re-installed Crystal Reports (v9) and checked it on other PCs - there appears to be a problem with the file itself. I have managed to get a copy of the report from somewhere else so my problem is solved (this time anyway!). It would still be interesting if anyone knows what could cause this.
