Make Set Busy
This feature can be assigned to a key on a digital set. When the key is pressed, it will cause any calls to a single appearance DN (a DN that appears only on one set) to receive busy tone. Calls to a multiple appearance DN (a DN that appears on more than one set) will still flash the lamp associated with the DN key but will not cause the audible ringer on the set to sound. This feature thus provides a "Do Not Disturb" facility typically for use whilst a meeting is in progress.
The MSB mnemonic is assigned to a key on a digital set.

WE HAVE OUR PATIENT PHONES ON DO NOT DISTURG GROUPS, AND AT 10:00 P.M. THE OPERATOR'S HIT THE DND KEY AND ALL INCOMING CALLS FOR PATIENT ROOMS ARE DIVERTED TO A GREETING SAYING PATIENT S PHONES ARE SHUT OFF AND WILL TURN ON AT 8:00A.M. IS THERE ANYTHING THAT WILL DO IT AUTOMATICALLY WITH OUT OPERATOR INTERVENTION. THANKS TDOG
If you have pkg 99 (Background Terminal) and pkg 81 (Controlled Class of Service) you could set up an automatic schedule. A bit complicated to set up if you haven't worked with background terminal before but it works.
The solution we're using doesn't allow it to go to a recording unfortunately. I'd be interested to see John's solution w/ MICA - we have one we're not using at the moment. Thanks! -Matt
if you set up the mica, you'll see the tod schedule, you can allow the dial thru between the hours of 9 to 5, after which time the same number goes to a recording.. very simple menu once you get in the gui interface
Where is the recording stored, on the MICA? or do we need an available RAN? (don't mean to jump on your thread TDOG257, if I'm going in a different direction then you just let me know...). Thanks, Matt
the ran is already there, so instead of going to the operator's it goes to the ran to let the caller know the hours the patient phone's are turned on and off. thanks
