I have a 6408D+ where i programmed 2 button call dn-dst(Do not Distrub) and goto-cover.

the station has a cov path 2 where it is route to cov Remote 1 (a Public number) based on (Internal, External) No answer in 3 ring and DND/SAC/Goto Cover.

The dn-dst will only result in a Busy engage tone whereas the goto-cover could not luanch/triggered from the station itself.

I need a button to allow calls to be forwarded to a public number.

I know no voice, i know not systems,
i know not networking, for I know nothing!

Have you tried the call forward feature ?

If you are forwarding to one specific number you can use an autodial button that has programmed the access code for call forward eg *4, and the external access code followed by your destination. eg Autodial: *4901234567890

Hope this helps.

Have you tried using a "send all calls" button (send-calls) instead of the Do Not Disturb? That usually works for me.

Hi Marcell55,

thanks for the tip... it works wonder any other extension but my own... it just goes blinking yellow light (6408D+)

Both station are configured to have coverage path (coverage remote) to an external number (9mobile number) 9 for external calls.

I know no voice, i know not systems,
i know not networking, for I know nothing!

And the cover path definately has a "yes" in the coverage criteria for SAC?

Have you checked the allow call forward off net setting in the " change sys cov" page. If this is set to N no calls will cover to a 9(public number)

Something to check
