I am able to successfully access my server from home. But am unable to browse or ping the server. When I check the ipconfig /all it shows the proper ip, dns, wins, gateway (the lan's default gateway), but the subnet shows up as 255.255.255.255.

I have two nic's in the server, both have a 192.168.1.x scheme, one is 192.169.1.5(internal server, dhcp, fileserver) , the other is 192.168.1.7 (which all vpn traffic is routed to).

Seems like I am close, any suggestions on what I need to do next????

Thanks!!!!

Why my XP VPN client's subnet mask is 255.255.255.255

This is by design. Since this connection is point to point, not point to net or net to net, VPN server assigns 255.255.255.255 mask to the client.
