I recently began working at a firm where I handle all technological responsibilities. One of the responsibilities I have been given has been all things IP Office.

At this point, there are some things I am itching to find out immediately.

For example, I have no documentation on what our DID extensions are here at the office. Barring a major investigation with the local carrier--Verizon--how can I determine this information from within IP Office?

Another interesting issue I am having is determining how to create Users in something like a template. For example, it is driving me nuts that I have to go in after a user is created and add them to the appropriate Hunt Groups. Is there a way to achieve this template of sorts?

Finally, is there just a good resource for IP Office? Something I can read up on that will set me right. I am really pleased I found this forum, as I know this will be the place I go to get the answer to more pressing matters.

Thanks.

Jason

As far as your DID's you can check the incoming call routes to see which numbers are set there, usually if a bank of DID's numbers are being used that will be where you can tell how they are routed, but it will not give you the circuit info or full number

not sure on your templates and since the wizard is rather unstable I doubt there are other templates, which lead to your last question,

or use you can get the latest software, bulletins and FAQ type info on the support site, just match your software level and away you go

jml2665,

That is some very excellent news. From the Incoming Call Routes, I can see what is going on. Given that we are quite small, it is easy for me to see what we have (also based on some dated information I received upon my arrival). This helps immensely, as it allows me to find out how many DIDs we have left (looks like 3).

Thanks also for the URLs. I will be bookmarking them post-haste!

Thanks,
Jason
