Hi, we suffered a system[Avaya Definity] corruption a few weeks back and as a solution, the system had to be reprogrammed. Most features since the reprogramming seem to be working fine with a few exceptions here and there.

One particular oddity -and an annoying one at that too- is that we now have North American/International dial tones on even internal extensions. I have to explain to staff that they are indeed calling internal extensions and not the USA etc but that doesn't stop me being deluged by calls as to why the ring tone sounds so "weird". It is disorienting to the staff and customers to say the very least.

I am hoping someone here knows the cause of the issue and most importantly how to go about resolving it.

Sorry guys. Must have had an "epiphany" for I found the solution to the problem. Merely needed to change the Base Tone Generator Set and set it to 10.

Hey Dave,
Where did you find the Base Tone Generator Set?
