Hello,
When I go into the device manager in Windows XP, and I go under "Sounds, video and game controllers" I receive the following error on some the listed items under that category. It's off and on sometimes the error shows up and other times it doesn't. And it seems like it only does it on the "Sounds, video and game controllers" category the rest of the categories work fine.
Device Manager: mmc.exe - Application Error
The exception unknown software exception (0xc0000409) occurred in the application at location 0x7796644e.
It usually shows up when I try to go to "Property" on one the the listed items in "Sounds, video and game controllers". This is what I have listed under there right now.
- Audio Codecs
- Legacy Audio Drivers
- Legacy Video Capture Devices
- Logitech Microphone (Messenger)
- Media Control Devices
- Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit
- Video Codecs
And my sound card and logitech webcam are working fine so far.
Does anybody know how to fix this?
Thank you,
olimits7
