I have set up a remote coverage path and it is working great. I want however to have a button on the station that SENDS calls to that remote coverage path. That way if they are IN the office the calls arent going to the remote coverage path.

how?

I think you can program a button "change cover path"
Then add a goto cover,so you skip the first 4 rings

Ok I thought I had seen that featchur once, But I guess not.
So what I think you should do is put a forward button on his phone. He can just forward his phone when he leaves.

Would that work?

i dont want to enable forward off net and change his COS. is there a way to setup a forward to remote coverage button?

what you have to do is have the telecommuting feature actavited in your switch, then create a did number that has the telecommuting access which yo supply in the system parm features of the switch that will allow the user to actavite this feature themself by dialing the telephone number.

Try this:
Assign a Send-Calls button on the phone.
Pick an unused coverage path.
Set all the options (Active,Busy, etc) except Send Calls to No, set Send-Calls to Yes. (Both inside and Outside calls)
On coverage Point1, enter the remote coverage number (Ex:r71), coverage Point 2 set to voice-mail (Ex:h99)
Set # of rings to 1
Set a second coverage path in [Next Path Number].
(You can use a common existing one for this 2nd path-if it doesn't use send-calls (in and out set to No), with normal voice-mail endpoint Ex:h99)
Now, when they want coverage to remote--they push the send-calls button and turn off send-calls for normal coverage.
The only drawback is they have to be there to activate-deactivate the button--unless they call a co-worker.

Below is what mmcalli is discribing for you. This is the same methods that we use and it should be what you are looking to do.

display coverage path 1122 SPE A
COVERAGE PATH

Coverage Path Number: 1122
Hunt after Coverage? n
Next Path Number: 1121 Linkage

COVERAGE CRITERIA

Station/Group Status Inside Call Outside Call
Active? n n
Busy? y y
Don't Answer? y y Number of Rings: 4
All? n n
DND/SAC/Goto Cover? n n

COVERAGE POINTS

Terminate to Coverage Pts. with Bridged Appearances? n

Point1: 56058 Rng: Point2: Point3:
Point4: Point5: Point6:

The coverage path under "next path number 1121" has everything st to "no" except SAC which is set to yes. This does work well.
