Definity Processor Interface Cable?

I'm confused about what you are asking. What are you trying to connect to? What type/version of Definity do you have? If you are connecting to processor channel 1 you can connect to the back of the cabinet depending on your system (G3si). Or you can install a data module if you need to extend the port or if you use port 2-4 or there is no eia port on the back of you cabinet.

I have a prologix G3, and the cabinet has a DB50 on it. I need the cable that breaks that DB50 down into three cables(I think). One of which is a DB25 labeled Term. Then I could run the term cable through a DB25 to DB9 connector to my PC serial port for the terminal. Either that, or I need to know which of the 50 wires I need and how to map them to a DB9 female Connector. Thanks,

I bought a couple from STL. 800-800-4STL. I called it a P1 processor cable for a Prologix and I think it was around $100. That's probably the incorrect name for it but I think "processor interface cable" is even less correct.

If Im not mistaken, it is just called an SAT (system administration terminal) interface cable. There is something else you can do though, if you do not a cable the size of a small garden hose going to your computer. Take 2 355A adapters (if your computer needs a female connecter to connect, then you want a 355AF) run a Cat 5 cord between them, and viola. SAT interface cable.

can any body help with the pin-outs for this cable? I need to go from 9-pin to 25-pin via RJ45 for the J3 term port.

I also need 9pin to 25pin Audix pinouts if possible,

Thanks

It is called a Processor Interface Cable.

Page 1-2 Figuree 1-1 Item #6 in the diagram. It comes off the Processor port on the cabinet throught the DB50 connector and splits the DB50 into several DB25's. One of which is a standard RS232 cable labeled Term. You then connect a RS232 from that to your terminal or PC. That is the cable I need. Or if I can figure out which of the 50 wire I need and map them to a DB9 directly, I can make my own. I have come close. I thought I had it once, but all I get is garbage through the terminal. I will keep trying, but I had hope this had been done before, and I would not have to reinvent the wheel. Thanks,

-Todd

Lostwages,

I found what both you and I were looking for on Table 2-7 of the same manual that you noted above. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Did you get a cable built?
