Hello,

One of our 6408D extensions has somehow been locked into "Call Forward" mode through the console.

The display on the phone itself does not indicate that it is in call forward mode. When a call is placed to that extension, the display on the callers phone indicates "Forward" in the display and the call is sent directly to the recipients voicemail.

Can anyone please explain which settings in the console for that ext. need to be changed in order to turn off the active call forwarding for this extension.

Thanks.

First I would check the 6408D, under the display there is a menu button that will bring up 12 options (scroll with the arrows). If you see CFrwd in the display with an arrow over it, push the corresponding button to turn the arrow off.

Correct, I checked that already and there is no arrow. I reset where the calls were being forwarded to on the phone, and then turned off call forwarding on the phone itself but the calls are still being forwarded to voicemail. SAC is off as well.

This is definately a console issue, and it has been a number of years since I have delved into Definity so I am quite rusty and a bit apprehensive about simply "trying" things.

I am able to navigate to the detail area for the extension in the console but I am not seeing anything obvious.

Our IT manager has recently moved on to another property and I am trying to sort this out myself.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

run the command "list call" to see if it is call forwarded. Also do a "stat stat XXXX" to see if the station is forwarded.

To remove the forward. You have a 2 options. From that phone dial the FAC for call forwarding deactivation. You can see you FAC's by running the command "disp feat". The other option would be to go to a station with console permissions then dial FAC and extension.
