OK, I have been the "RTFM" route and stll can't seem to make the phone default to Line 1 when I pick up the receiver. It insists on defaulting to "Handsfree Mute". I'll bet there's a simple solution . . . isn't there?

Sounds like
1 - You don't actually have hands free programmed under capabilities therefore it is realy and Intercom key (F*0 to find out)

2 - Set/LineAccess/PrimeLine/Choose Pool A

3 - Lines (2-3) remove from Pool A.

Is there only 1 line on the system? its an odd request.

I had a cust that insisted that they used line 1 first line 2 second etc.
my solution. re-label line names(line1 was now named line4 etc) and use feat *81 to reverse the button arrangement on the phone sets.

Another way would be to swap line 1 & 3 on the back board. You would still go out on line 3 but in reality it would be line 1, so the customer would show their cid as line 1.

Does she want this just for her extension or all??? If just her , simple solution is to select Line 1 as her prime line or either of the other posts. It is an odd request....
