Hi All:

I've just installed Crystal Passage in order to schedule some redudant reports for our 6 offices. However, each time I try to schedule a report it shuts down. I doesn't give a reason. I've checked everything from the ODBC connection to the location of the reports. I'm at a loss.
The message is "Crystal Passage - Crystal Reports Scheduler has encountered a problem and needs to close."

I'm using CR 8.5
ODBC to SQL Server

Can anyone shed some light?

Thanks,

Hi,
The problem with Open Source software is often difficulty in getting technical help..

Are you using the latest release ( their site:
indicates some bug fixes)?

Perhaps someone else here uses this product and can help more..

Ahhhhh the joys of 'VEM' (Vague Error Messages) - Which OS are you running?

It might be worth a quick look in the event viewer to see if more details are supplied there.

Thanks Turkbear for the link. I went to it and it states it was written for CRv9.0. Luckily I have CR 9.0 but all my work is in 8.5. We use Sharepoint 2001 to distribute reports and version 9 doesn't play with Sharepoint 2001.
I'll save a couple of reports in version 9 and see what happens.

I'll let you know what happens just for the sake of sharing information.

CR85user thank you also.
