Hi,

I have designed a purchase order report using crystal and integrated it with an accounts package. The report is working but has problems with regards to printing. I am connected to an Epson AcuLaser c900 printer. This printer does not have postscript drivers so I dont know if this has anything to do with it. When running a purchase order within the accounts package, I receive the error messages when the report attempts to open. Sometimes it works but 10% of the time it falls over and I'm thrown out of the application. In order to test this I've switched printers and tested the report with a brother-1450 laser printer. This printer comes with postscript drivers. I have not received any error messages with this printer

Does anyone have any feedback or experienced anything along these lines?

Hope you can help.

Tom

First, what are the specific error messages?

Second, have you tried creating\modifying the report using a "generic printer" (HP LaserJet 4 for example) or even "no printer"? This should prevent the report from being over-formatted for the client printer.

I receive a number of messages but the main one is: Access.exe has generated errrors and will be closed by windows. An error lof is being created. The executable in question is not MS Access but an accounts package.

I have just tried adding two of the same printers and modified them witin print preferences. I have one setup to print colour and the other to print just black and white. The black and white printer is set to default and since using this I have not received any error messages. Strange hey. I'm using an Epson AcuLaser c900.

Thanks for the quick reply,

Regards,

Tom
