Hello all -

Proposal is in the works to convert some customers to VOIP. Plan is to have local call manager(s) tied into the Definity.

Switch is a G3RV12, S8700, CM 2.2, single pnc, unduplicated - is it possible to interface with a VOIP call manager, and what would be needed to do so?

Thanks!

Call Manager... Cisco?

If you can do H323 you MIGHT be able to integrate -- I can't comment for CM2.2.

You might be best off using an audiocodes gateway via PRI and then SIP trunks out to your Cisco sites.

You could also upgrade the CM, get SM and SMGR and then SIP trunk out to your other sites.

Hey Randy - thanks for the reply.

It would be a Cisco solution, I'm sure (dot-mil contract).

They're not going to sink more money into upgrades, so we'll be stuck at CM 2.2. According to the installing engineer several years ago, CM 2.2 is the furthest the equipment will allow - not sure that's actually the case, but don't have a way to verify that.

I'm in talks with some Cisco folks trying to see if there's a solution that will let us connect at a trunk level. We have CLAN boards but not the other board required for an IP level connection.
