Thanks Gens
how can i find the Built-in-internal ATA Port ..
and is it just one port to be used with one dn (jiust one devise) or can it be used for analog phone and fax and ..
Thanks
The ATA port is analog so you can connect more than one analog device to the port. Program it like any other extension for line access, ringing, prime line, etc.
I found an Old ATA 2 in my Junk yard, could not locate the Power
i do not know if i will be able to find the power supply
or willl have to buy another ATA 2 all together
After re-reading your previous posts, yes, the ATA2 does need power applied directly to it. If you don't have the power supply for it, you'll need to get one.
If it doesn't work with power applied, you should probably get in touch with a local tech.
i got the power (the appropriate one)
it does not work , sound like the line is open
i got another one ATA Not ATA 2 which supposed to be ok
still
there munst be some wrong setting some where?
thanks
You say you know what you're doing, then there's nothing we need to add, right?
What I'm getting at- All of us that post answers here do so free of charge, though we make our living at it from 9-5...
At some point, it does behoove us to provide on site service at charge, rather than typing away for your benefit while our wives harp at us for doing so.
If I were an accountant, I could provid free online advice to anyone needing advice this time of year, but if I did, I would be slitting my throat.
what i do is add, move and change of users (physical, on the switch and the required bixing if needed)
i work on norstar, merdian 1 61C
and presently trying to learn (on my own = reading)about Cisco VOIP while waiting for a course to be offered in my area
off course i do understand and i appreciat every ones generosity and imput
