Although the counter doesn't reflect it yet, you've deservedly surpassed the sum of Ken Hamady's efforts here over his many years in this forum.

You've done an amazing job of resolving very complex, Crystal issues over they years, I've learned a good deal from your efforts, and I'm very thankful that you're onhand, this place wouldn't be the same without you.

Ken is a brilliant guy, and it's a shame he no longer participates here.

Eventually the forum split off into multiple forums, but this is where he cut his teeth, and like you, helped 1000's of people resolve very complex, frustrating issues.

Thanks again for all of your hard work and generosity, and I look forward to many more years of your assisatnce.

Thanks, k, for your kind thoughts. I'd have to say, though, that I think I've learned far more from you than you could possibly have learned from me, so thank you right back!

Ken still periodically participates, but it would be great if he were able to check in more often.

Thanks again,

-LB

LB,

I'd like to add that your answers, besides showing expert knowledge, have been offered with remarkable levels of detail, grace and patience.

Cheers,

LB, I agree with SV and Ido. Some posters come and go, like myself, but I always can expect to see your responses here. You always seem to have the knack of knowing exactly what the person is looking for even if they don't say it in their posts.

I am sure Ken is going to be disappointed that he can no longer claim to be "Top Crystal Expert on Tek-Tips" on his website.

Ken had been surpassed some time ago overall, as his numbers in this forum were the total of his efforts, lbass blew by that total, my posting here was to acknowledge the herculean efforts involved in surpassing Ken in this one forum, and note that Ken altered his top staus to include an asterisk.

Ken is an extremely well rounded developer, very erpsonable, and I'd always consider myself extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to work with him.

As with lbass.

I am so thankfull to synapsevampire for starting this thread as myself I was thinking of way of showing how greatfull I am to be a member of this forum and couldn't guess the easiest way.
synapsevampire did it for me. THANKS

I appreciate lbass's help in more ways then one and no one like him made me realize that I should become a donor to this wonderfull place because I am so affraid it will exaust it's resources (financially). So THANK YOU LBASS for making my Crystal life easier and more fun. And THANKS YOU for being so patient and understanding. You are a true teacher!!!

Thanks TT and you all.

There are several great teachers on this site, but Lbass is the best.

Synap, you are superb as well. I am honored to look either of you up here or others if I have a CR question. It's not my expertise as much as other stuff, but I appreciate each of your candid answers and support.

Thanks again and best regards. Congrats lbass!

Erik

Congratulations lbass. Indeed, you are our Crystal Master. I have learned a lot from your postings.

Synapsevampire, I offer congratulations to you as well. You run a very close second to lbass with your technical expertise and prowess.

Although I have contributed some, I consider myself an apprentice still learning from all of you, the Crystal Masters.

Again congratulations, lbass and snapsevampire.

Geeez, kindly keep me out of the discussion, your thoughts are greatly appreciated, and btw, I'm a database programmer, Crystal is just my hook ;)

Thank you all--your generous comments mean a lot to me.

Grats lbass! You've always been one of the posters apart from synapse who always has been there to answer my crystal queries. Hope to learn more from you guys in the future! =D

Dear Lbass,

Congrats. I don't get to participate here like I used to (and wish that I still could) so it was really a pleasant surprise to check in this evening and see this thread.

I have to say that I agree with Breed35, one of the things that really impresses is your almost **spooky** ability to read the poster's mind. I can't count the number of times that I have seen you get to the heart of what the poster really wants rather than what they actually asked. That is a tremendous skill especially when coupled with your technical expertise. I find many of your solutions to be very creative ones that make me think - hmmm how could I apply that? I like that a lot as it helps me expand my skills too.

I also must say that I find you to be highly professional, patient to a fault, and truly skilled. I hope your employers realize how extremely lucky they are!

Very best regards,

ro

As someone with no Crystal experience (or SQL/Oracle experience for that matter) that was thrown into it, I've posted quite a few threads and I would estimate that Lbass is the one who fixed 80% of my problems. She often went well beyond the kind of assistance I expected to receive.

This community would not be the same without you, you do an amazing job at sharing your knowledge and helping the folks who post here.

Thank you very much for all you have done for everyone here.

I've not been as frequent a visitor as in the past, so great to see this post appear.

I've been impressed with all those answers from LBass as well.

Well done. Your efforts are appreciated.

Here, here - Since coming across these forums a year or so ago I have consistently found lbass's posts to be extremely well put and informative.

You also seem to have a great deal of patience with some of the less mmm how can I put it - 'Verbose' posters - managing to get the right information from them to enable you to get the answer they need.

Well done & my personal thanks for taking the time to contribute so thoroughly to making this the best place to come for answers when reverse logic thinking sends me around the bend =)

Lbass,

Congratulations on a well deserved 'promotion' to the top spot on this forum. I can't think of nicer person to take over top honors, and I have updated my web site to reflect the change. While I don't post as much since starting the "daddy" phase, I still follow many of the threads and so I know the amount of effort you have put into your postings. Keep up the good work.

Thanks, Ken. It's a little embarrassing to be in the top spot when most of what I know I've learned from you and other people who have so kindly posted in this thread. So, thank you all for continuing to teach me and others and making these fora intriguing places to be even after years of participation.
