Hello All,

I have been given a new task of configuring a DID number for a 3903 set.

I have been able to do small moves and changes in the past and don't have the foggiest idea where to start with this one.

I do have other 3903 sets that are configured with DIDs.

Can someone help a newbie with this task.

We have a Nortel Option 11

Just for grins, go into LD 49, and type the following:

REQ prt
TYPE idc
CUST 0
DCNO 1 (or just press enter)

Look for 522 as an IDGT and see if it is being converted to something else - if it is, you'll see 522 in the IDGT field and an extension in the CDGT field. It's possible that someone set the unused DID's to go to the attendant.

I just read this new update from biv343. I did ld 49 and I don't see 522 in the list.

I do see 520 and 521 and CDGT for them is 520 and 521.

so i am thinking is there something that needs to be done for 522 here so it appears before it will work?

Please advise.

Thanks

It should work either way - using IDC or doing as ace said - building it on a key.

I already have the key built however when I call from outside it goes to the attendant.

I tested it from Arizona and it did go to the ATT.

Go to LD 80 an do a TRAK xx xx xx xx DEV
(TN of that Phone) and post here.

Is the Phone co sending 0522 or 522, it will make a difference.

you will need to build the IDC table for 0522 just like the others ie:0520, 0521

Life would have been easier if they only sent the 522.

how can i do that? i have no idea.

can you help me with the syntax and such?

thanks

No i've never needed to but you could try LD49
REQ CHG
TYPE IDC
DCNO x What ever the list # was for the other DID's

IDGT 0522

CDGT 522 (if you want it to ring on the key you added)

or

CDGT 4547 (if you want it to ring on key 0)

acerwarlock and everyone on this thread thanks a whole bunch it is working now after configuring the idc.

wow...took a long time but i am glad it is now working and that i now know how to configure a DID in future.

Thanks a lot for your help again
