Compact Plus - ISDN DDIs - UK

Hi All

Old Compact Plus, with BRI4, 2 x ISDN 2, all working fine. When the main number is dialled the phones ring.

Also have 10 DDIs assigned by BT, these all ring on all of the phones. But I don't want them to!

How can I tell which line is assigned to which DDI?

Are all phones ringing because the DDI's aren't assigned to lines?

Guidance please

Assuming DDI means or is like DID you can do button inquiry and see if a DID appears on the set, if so note the Target number then remove that target line from the set.
Sometimes calling the DID and looking at the display will help show what target line.
Also going to target lines and making them private to reception will wipe out any programming, then change back to public.

Also Line and DID is the same.

As Curly has stated, It's all in the Target lines. For info, DID and DDI are the same thing.

OK - Sorry for delay - back on-site and had a look.

I have the following lines available:

001-008
031-038
061-062
101-140

I've sussed line pools, but not sure I explained myself very well in first post.

The main ISDN line is 872000 - this rings fine and I can put this where I want to. I also have 10 DDI (BT terminology), ie 813740, 813741, up to 813749. I can't seem to 'control' these, 'cos I'm not sure how they are 'delivered'.

If I dial one of these numbers then all phones ring, it says Line001, but it also says that when I call the main ISDN number.

I know I'm missing something but not sure where, I may be wrong to assume that the DDI (DID) are 'linked' to a line automatically.

Any help gratefully received.

check to see if all the incoming lines are prime to the set that is ringing now ( the one you don't want to ring)
in trunk programing make them prime to: NONE .

then check all your target lines and program the ones you want to receive the incoming digits and assign them to the appropriate set.

I usually choose a group of target lines that match the incoming digits as best I can.

eg incoming digits: xxx-4700-4749
target lines: 200-249
just for ease of record keeping and programing
