I want to use both CMS v12 and CMS v13 on my PC. What do I need to do, just install both and use it or is there anything else I need to do?

You could telnet to both boxs, this sounds to simple, is there more to it..?

What I found out is this:

If you have v9 to v12 you have to change the executible name before you can istall the next version or it will see that you have a version already installed.

In v13, they fixed the problem and simply made the newer version backwards compatible. Now you can have any version along side v13 you simply use the drop down menu to selct which version you want to loginto.

Thanks anyway, I am now ok.

There are 3 different versions of CentreVu Supervisor; V9 which supports CMS V6, V8, & V9; CentreVu Supervisor V11 which only supports CMS V11; and CentreVu Supervisor V11 which supports V12 & V13 CMS. You can have multiple versions of CentreVu Supervisor loaded on your PC with no problem. You can also use ASA to log into the CMS.

thanks 4merAvaya

Just so you know, Avaya was the one that told me you can have multiple versions but that in order to install any prior to v12 you had to first change the executable name to avoid the version recognizing another version was already installed.

The application gets installed in its own directory. There is no need to change any file names. I have V9, V11, & V13 on my XP laptop that work fine together.

What I did in order to have versions 11 and 12 working on my pc was that I installed 12 first then 11 last and it worked fine. If you install the earliest version first the later version will try to override the early one.
