Hi guys and Gals,
I have a small problem. When doing a cmsadm backup on our CMS box, I set the backup running and then leave for about 45mins-1hr. The trouble is that when I return to switch CMS back on, the screen has turned into a mass of random characters and its hard to see what the status of the box is. You have to then shut down the terminal window and open it up again. How do we know that the backup has finished its cycle before restarting CMS? John

When you take the cmsadm backup, you'll see a series of "......" on the screen when the backup is complete, the screen will come back stating 'verifying tape" & than would send a confirmation that the backup is finished, mark the tape with new date & you'll comeback to the # prompt..

Hope this helk, let m know if it does :)
