CMS Daily Back up

Does anyone know what a problem would be with a cms not completing a daily archiving.. I have been told it could be the disc?. What would you guys recommend to do for this?

I dont know. i am going to have a look tomorrow to find out why its not doing it now.

looks like another process is stuck or something locks your tables.
Sometimes it helps to force a manual archive.
If the archive does not run correctly this can affect your reports, escpecially the dailies.
The unix command ps -edalf should show you all processes
running with the date they started, and who did it..
last resort : reboot

Just curious, is the error log telling you the backup failed?

Are your backups only scheduled for specific days and this isn't one of them?

Are you checking at the CMS PC or are you using Centre Vu to review the maintenance report?

A problem I've had before is the tape didn't have enough space and I would have to add another to complete the backup.
