The clock the on taskbar is always falling behind even when I correct the time. After I correct it, a few days later it will be incorrect again.
Is this as serious as I think it is??
Most modern motherboards (AT & ATX) have a battery which keeps the CMOS settings and clock when the power is off. If the loss of time occurs while the pc is off, it's almost always because this battery has gone bad.
In your case, you have a new pc and the loss of time occurs while the pc is on. So, now it sounds like a software conflict/problem. You might want to use msconfig from the RUN menu to minimize the amount of apps that load when Windows starts. Other than that, I haven't a clue as to what else you can try...

Definately sounds like a CMOS battery. Also remember that if you replace your CMOS battery you will lose the current configuration on you PC. Go into Bios and write down all of your settings. B-)
