I have heard via Avaya that you must migrate all users of mode-code, and DCIU to Clan with CM2.2.

I have a customer with Definity R9 going to CM2.2. They currently have a octel vmail connected. I don't see a TN765 or mode code on in their config. So how is this talking to the definity now? Thats the first question. Second, Do I need any addl software when they upgrade to 2.2 to allow the integration to work?

Thanks.

Sorry, what we are doing is selling the upgrade to CM2.2 and installing a new Intuity with Clan Integration. Now I know we can IP admin the intuity and now the pbx, because we are adding a TN799DP, but what else if anything do I need on the CM2.2 side? And how is the Octel talking? Is this just straight analog connections?

Probably using a generic integration method which triggers off of the 1st or last 4 digits of the name display. MWI is send via LWC. There is no software or feature needed on a Definity to make this work and therefore will continue to work on CM2 as long as you continue to put the extension in the name field.

So it will work, but Avaya won't support it, correct. They are pushing all to Clan integration. CL, Do I need addl software on the pbx, to go to clan integration?

There is no additional software needed. Your clan integration is for signalling, and there are voice-channels which need to be connected to analog ports of your Definity.
The documentation which comes with the Intuity is ok.
Normally your system should be running after 1 hour of work.
